The low power, unique system was chosen due to the success of it's use since launch and the cost and H&S savings it can provide for very small and descriptive works.
The BioTube is a compact unit designed to treat small works up to a population of 500. The unit is a unique bacteria dosing system which uses a patented live bacteria source set in its own nutrient to ensure activation on contact with effluent. The fast-acting product has a similar blend to the BioCube dosing unit but is designed to bolt on to small tanks with no moving parts.
The unit will improve settlement, reduce BOD, solids and ammonia and eliminate FOG. It can either be mains powered or driven by a small solar powered unit for remote sites without an electrical supply. The unit will help to improve the efficiency of very small remote and descriptive sites which now contribute more than ever to the standards utilities must maintain.
Smaller sites are often overlooked and many have aging infrastructures which require major capital investment. The BioTube is an excellent cost effective bolt on which can optimise these smaller sites whilst decisions are made on the future of these older sites.

The BioCube breeder units are practical and low-cost on-site bacteria breeding and acclimatising systems for illiminating FOG, imorivng settlement and reducing BOD, solidsand ammonia. Using the well proven process of pre-assimilation technology the BioCube unit allows breeding of the most suitable bacteria to deal with specific problems found on sewage works. The ability to reduce load and eliminate FOG enables TOTEX drivers to be met and a more holistic approach to whole of life management on sewage treatment works with improved operator involvement through related efficiencies.
We are currently helping our clients to remediate filter beds and ultimately restore the operation and compliance of the works. This picture shows the dosed bacteria product prior to the flushing procedure taking place. All the cleaning is done in situ and none of the media is removed during the process. The filter remains operational throughout which saves costs and reduces risks with regards both project length and performance.
The distribution is isolated only whilst operators are on the bed surface which means beds are kept wet throughout the process and no downtime is necessary, avoiding the need for expensive temporary treatment and illiminating associated risks. The cleaning process is a combination of flushing and auguring heavily congested areas of the bed and spreading a patented bacteria product which assists in the degradation of any excess organic solids within the media.
The filter bed cleaning process takes anything from just a few days to a week per bed and the bacteria support ensures consents are not at risk during the cleaning process. As the cleaning takes place online solids levels are closely monitored and the performance of the humus tanks is checked.
This is a very quick, cost effective and environmentally sound alternative to mechanical cleaning and can be a useful maintenance tool for long term security of aging filter bed sites.

We have constructed a number of Modular Reed Beds around the country. Because of the unique design this is a quick and simple task even in adverse weather conditions. Some of the smaller installations are ready for use within days and are simple to commission and operate. In most cases no planning permission is needed and the beds will sit on any flat, stable surface such as crush and run or an existing concrete hardstanding (like a carpark).
